It's a boy!

June 25, 2009

Well, our little bundle of joy, Holton Trevor James Baumgartner, arrived June 02, 2009 at 7:44 a.m. weighing 7lbs 14oz and measuring 22inches long! Our little peanut! His sisters are so much in love with him and are such big helpers! Holton is a VERY easy baby! At his 2 week appointment he weighed 8lbs 8oz so he has gained his weight back and then some! Being a mom to a boy is SOOOO DIFFERENT! It was a little scary for the first week but it is wonderful now! Holton has been practicing smiling! Yesterday was one of the first times I have got Holton to smile (without a burp or toot to follow!) He even smiled for Grandma but wasn't so generous with Dad!

It is has been a wonderful 3 1/2 weeks watching our family grow from 4 to 5 and watching the girls grow and change into their new roles as big sisters!

Nilla has started Tball (first practice the night Holton was born!) and is doing great! It is fun to watch her learning a new sport and watching ball in general! We have enjoyed watching ball again! We celebrated Nilla's birthday early at Jake's with LOTS of friends and family! We are so lucky to have such great friends and family! We are excited to celebrate her actual birthday this weekend! We have our tradition of Jake's pizza on the 26th with Grandma and Grandpa and then lunch at the mall on her actual birthday! Traditions are great!

Both girls attended a week of summer camp at 5c's (bug camp). They did super! I think Cecillia enjoyed preschool for the first time and was excited to go each day! The last day we took a field trip to Rasmussen Woods (Cecillia's first bus ride!) It has been great getting Cecillia into the idea of going to school since she will be attending preschool in the fall!

Trevor and I are enjoying the new addition to our family and the summer! Girls have scheduled activities to keep us busy! We are so blessed.

Posting finally!!! & Memorial weekend

Nilla had her first dance recital and did such a wonderful job! I couldn't hold back the tears in my eyes, so proud.

We are ending the last week of preschool for Nilla as well!!!!!! Can't believe she has 2 more days and then after summer will be attending kindergarten. Growing up so fast :) We have a fun filled summer planned. Nilla got in to T-Ball so that starts next week! I am so excited to spend my summer watching her play ball! We also have swimming lessons and summer camp at 5c's with Cecillia! Also looking forward to family time with the baby and friends! Memorial day Trevor spent the day teaching Nilla to try to ride with training wheels and had some successful moments. A few more days of trying and I bet we will have a 2 wheel rider on our hands!

Cecillia moved up from parent-tot gymnastics to preschool gymnastics and is doing so GREAT!! It was just in time, mom was finding it harder and harder to bend over and be limber with her! Cecillia also has been practicing riding on her trike and is doing wonderful! She is starting to learn how to turn around on her bike without having to get up and physically turn it around!! Cecillia will also have summer camp with Nilla which is so exciting since Cecillia will be starting preschool in the fall!!! We are also going to start swimming lessons this summer for Cecillia which will be so fun to see the girls gain so much independence! So great being a parent!

Baby #3 is due in 8 days and counting!! The girls are so excited to see what we are going to have and enjoy seeing the baby! I am anxious as well!! Next appointment is Friday (29th), will post updates!!

We had a fun filled Memorial weekend! Beautiful weather lots of fun with friends and family and spending time as a family! Since the last update our family has been busy! (so many pictures to share!)

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to all!

We have completed our remodel 95% so a few last minute painting touch ups and some dusting before moving some furniture back in and life will be back to "normal" whatever that is!

Easter Bunny has come to our house (hope he came to yours too!) and we are in taking a break from the Easter egg hunt and eating some breakfast. Will upload pictures later this morning!

Again, I wish all a wonderful Easter. The weather is beautiful! Life is great!

Love,
Baumgartner Family

Friday, April 03, 2009

Well, we have taken on the project of remodeling our living room! We originally had intended on adding lights to the ceiling which added holes to the walls which pushed us to skim coat the walls and make them smooth instead of textured like they were! We had last weekend and then Trev has had a few hours each night to do a few things here and there while the kids were sleeping. Hoping to get another big weekend and then be done (might be wishful thinking!)! We might be doing some refinishing of the floors too but we will see!!!! Starting to look nice and the colors I have picked out are so NICE! It makes me so happy to see the samples! I have to see what they look like on the wall!

Nilla has moved up to the next level of gymnastics (beginning progression) and she is doing so well! It is much more independent and seems as though she is progressing with leaps and bounds! I love to watch all of the new things she is able to do. Definitely something I will keep her in for as long as she lets me! Nilla is also getting closer to having her first dance recital. We are so excited to see her on the West stage!

Cecillia is still in gymnastics and is now going when Nilla is at school instead of them going together. That was a change for her since we were used to having gymnastics together. As always she has transitioned well. Another big event for Cecillia is wearing BIG GIRL UNDIES! She does a great job of going on the potty and even is dry after a full nights sleep (sometimes)! We still have to work on the #2's in the potty but we are getting there! It will be wonderful to have both girls out of diapers before we get #3 in diapers!

Baby B#3 is growing and moving around like crazy! I am currently at 31+ weeks and had my doctor appointment today and all is well. Baby is head down and the heart rate was around 150. I will be going every 2 weeks now until I get to 36 weeks and then go weekly. Time is sure flying by!

Baby has cooperated as much as it can with the remodeling! I have been trying to get as much deep cleaning done as much as possible before baby comes! I have the girls playroom cleaned out and am working on cleaning the carpets! I have purged TONS of toys and hope to have a garage sale to make some money on those toys! I guess this is what you call NESTING!!! Once we get this remodel done we will have a pretty clean house (after we get the Sheetrock dust cleaned up!!)

Thank you for checking in! With our house being upside down at the moment it hasn't been easy to update but can't wait to update again! Will be posting pictures of the remodel soon!

Saturday, March 14

Welcome WARM weather! We were ready for some spring time weather and it has arrived (for a day or two but we will take it!!)

Trevor is still super busy at work so the girls and I have been doing our best to stay busy!

Nilla had a big night the other night! She went to Monroe School for her Kindergarten Round up!!! So exciting. Nilla had such a great time and I got to listen to the principal talk about what a great school Monroe is and how much parents can be involved! I am so excited to be available to help out at her school! Nilla's favorite part was when all the kids went down to the gym and took out the paraschute and put balls on top and then shook the paraschute and the balls went to the CEILING!! She had such a great time! When we were getting into the van she said, " so now every Thursday we will go to Kindergarten?" !!! So cute!

Cecillia had her last day at dance last Monday. She had been struggling staying in class but considering she is only 2 1/2 it doesn't surprise me! She did a good job for the most part when the parents were able to come in and watch! She does enjoy dancing but is not so sure about sitting and listening to teachers yet! OHHHhhhh, and the best part! CECILLIA IS IN BIG GIRL UNDERWEAR!! She has been doing such a great job and even has had 2 nights with no potty in her diaper! She is struggling with going #2 in the potty but that will come! I am so excited!!! This means she will be able to attend Preschool next year and maybe even some summer classes I would like the girls to go to together! YAH Cecillia!!

BABY! Well, I went to my regular appointment at 27 weeks and failed my glucose test which then prompted me to take a 3 1/2 hour test. I completed that yesterday morning and found out all is well. I DO NOT have gestational diabetes and I couldn't be happier! In the process I have cleaned up my act when it comes to eating! I have found some new vegetables I didn't know I liked and found some new ways to cook more healthy for me and the family. It is funny what happens in a week! I am going to make a conscious effort to eat more healthy for the baby and the family!

Not such great picture of me but Ceci took it and it shows baby!

Tuesday March 3rd

We are thankful March is here! FACT: February is the shortest month of the year and yet for us it was the LONGEST! We had sickness and falls and lots of electronic issues but we are now onto a new month and enjoying it so far!

We celebrated Trevor's BIG 3-0 on Feb. 21st (very low key). Trevor has been SUPER busy at work and worked on his birthday but made it home in time for supper! Chad came down to celebrate with us and Heather was here too so we ordered pizza! The girls and I had made him a cake and decorated with sprinkles! Devon came over and the boys sat in the garage and then went downtown for one! Not like the old days but still fun!

This last weekend we had a play date with Nilla's classmate Lauren and we had a blast! We brought over Jakes pizza and the kids all got to make their own pizza and it was a HIT! Kids played, watched a movie, read books, did puzzles, made a fort while the adults talked! I don't think it gets any better than that! Thank you Ingrams for the wonderful night!

March is planning out to be a busy month! We are excited for the warmer weather and the possibilities of getting outside more! The girls are still busy with their activities which keeps me busy as well!

Thank you for checking in on our family!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Day!

First Entry

February 13, 2009
After much delay I have decided to start a Blog for our family to replace the website I once had (but haven't kept up with much!).

The last few weeks have been quite challenging with the illnesses that have swept the girls! We have gone from fever, to cough, to ear infection, then finally to stomach flu! We are nearing the end of this little cycle so I hope all will be well soon!

Nilla is 4 1/2 and growing every minute! She attends preschool 3 mornings a week and enjoys all of her new friends and even had some friend birthday parties! She is also in gymnastics and dance and soon to have her first recital (in May). March 12th we will be attending her Kindergarten RoundUp and are so very excited for her! She will do so well in school!

Cecillia, 2 1/2, is attempting to keep up with her sister every minute! She also is in gymnastics and just started her first big girl class without mom or dad! She is in a 6 week dance class and loving having some time to herself! I thought for sure we would have some meltdowns but she did so great! She will be ready for school next year if we could only get the potty training down!

Baby #3 (due June 3rd, 2009), 24 weeks, is moving like mad! This little one will have no problem fighting for its place in the family if all the movements show the attitude of the baby! All has gone well with this pregnancy! We had our ultrasound 4 weeks ago and Trevor and I were privileged to see the baby yawn and swallow! That was one of the most AMAZING experiences I have ever had!

We are so blessed as a family! I was sitting on the couch diagonal of the kids and Trevor and just sat and stared at how big the kids were getting and reflecting on how lucky we are to have such healthy happy children. It was really a neat moment to see these two children who once relied on Trevor and I for everything, be so much more independent. And now we are nearing the time where we will have another baby to need us to nurture and love, how very lucky we are.
